Very good comfortable rooms and excellent food. Most friendly and helpful staff in all departments. An excellent Terrace Lounge with bar, opening onto an outer terrace and lawn. Panoramic views over the sea and towards Falmouth Harbour.

We had a voucher given to us for a cream tea at the Royal Duchy and it was really lovely. The scones warm and fresh. The staff were very friendly especially the doorman who greeted us warmly when we arrived even though we were only booked in for the cream tea. Lovely views, an enjoyable afternoon

I had a single room a bit small if you were staying longer than one night. The room was lovely and clean and a good selection of toiletries, tea coffee and hot chocolate in the room and also a nespresso coffee machine. Breakfast has plenty of choice, both hot and cold. Check out straightforward, yes I would stay here again.

We only ate at this hotel in the evening, I have health problems so need to keep away from other people, the staff went the extra mile to accommodate me and were absolutely superb, extremely friendly and helpful with excellent service, the food was also superb. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this hotel again if visiting Cornwall or recommending it to anyone else. I would stay in this hotel next time I visit Cornwall, the location is stunning, right on the seafront.

We stopped for afternoon tea one (when isn't it) rainy afternoon. Everything was great, good service, food, great value and some substitutions without worry. Would definitely recommend here for afternoon tea.

I went to the Royal Duchy Hotel with some friends for coffee. We had a lovely time. I had a hot chocolate, my friends had coffee. We had a super biscuit with our drinks. We also had waitress service.

Lovely hotel on the sea front, about a 10 minute walk to the town centre, beach and 5 minute walk to train station. The hotel, rooms and gardens are lovely, all very well kept. The room is a good size (we had partial sea view) and the beds are comfortable. Added bonus of having a big tv with sky sports included. Plenty of free parking also. The price we paid was higher than normal being a bank holiday weekend. The reason for only 3 stars however: 1) Our room was really hot, the temperature outside isn’t that warm (teens) and the room is a sauna. No air seems to come in and the towel rail was on full blast with no way to turn it down (had to get hotel staff to do it). We had very poor sleep on the first night after a long travel day. 2) Breakfast service on two of the three days was pretty slow and they were only about half full in terms of guests. 3) Some of the younger female reception staff, whilst perfectly polite were not particularly friendly, which was the first impression after a long trip arriving at the hotel. Overall a good hotel but bear in mind you could end up with a very hot room.
